M. Ward
M. Ward is releasing a new album, More Rain, today via Merge. Last night he performed “Little Baby” on The Late Late Show with James Corden. Clad in a dark suit and black shades, Ward played to a very enthusiastic crowd (for a late night TV audience). Watch it below.
More Rain is Ward’s eighth album (not including his collaborations with Zooey Deschanel as She & Him nor the album with supergroup Monsters of Folk) and is the follow-up to 2012’s A Wasteland Companion. The album features Neko Case, R.E.M.‘s Peter Buck, K.D. Lang, The Secret Sisters, and Joey Spampinato of NRBQ.
Previously Ward had shared the album’s first single, “Girl From Conejo Valley,” as well as a strange video for the song. That was followed by another song from the record, the religious-themed “Confession.”
