Watch: Manic Street Preachers Make Long Awaited U.S. TV Debut on “Late Late Show”
Performed Classic Song "A Design For Life" on James Corden's Show

Welsh band Manic Street Preachers have had hit records in their native U.K. but have never really made a huge impact in America, so I suppose it makes sense that despite having released their debut album in 1992 the trio has never performed on an American TV show before. All that changed last night when they made their U.S. television debut on The Late Late Show with James Corden. Corden was clearly a fan of the band and excited to have them on (he is a fellow Brit after all).
Curiously, despite having released a critically acclaimed new album last year (Futurology) and even though they are currently on a small U.S. tour playing their classic 1994 album The Holy Bible in its entirety, Manic Street Preachers played “A Design For Life,” a single from their 1996 album Everything Must Go. Perhaps it was a personal favorite of Corden’s? Either way, the band didn’t disappoint their first time out on the Yankee airwaves.
If you’re in Los Angeles or San Francisco you can still catch the last two shows of their Holy Bible tour this Saturday and next Monday:
