In the recent wake of releasing her newest album The Chronicles of Marnia, guitar-tapping songwriter Marnie Stern has premiered a split-personality music video for her single “Immortals.” Directed by Allie Avital Tsypin and Stern, the clip seeks to create “a humorous and theatrical mythology around the ideal of being a ‘rock star’ set against the reality of an independent musician.” Conceived after a conversation between the two where Stern expressed a variety of fears and anxieties about her career, Tsypin says, “I was really moved by her honesty, openness and self-deprecating wit.
