Last night marked the season 7 finale of Doctor Who, where show runner Steven Moffat teased that he would finally answer the question on every fanboy/fangirl’s lips…who exactly IS the Doctor? And while we’re at it, why is Clara “The Impossible Girl?” We’d tell you how those questions were resolved, but (adopts River Song voice) “spoilers!”

In addition to a truly WTF ending (is this development good? Bad? Feel free to speculate—we got nothing), fans were also treated to a behind the scenes look at the forthcoming 50th anniversary episode via a video clip with former Doctor David Tennant and current Doctor Matt Smith.

In it, the two actors revel that playing the Doctor is fun/hard work, and that the two Doctors will meet in the special. They also tease out another character, which finds the whole paring quite bemusing. Check out the video interview below (or over-analyze the photo above).

The new episode will air on November 23. Jenna-Louise Coleman, Billie Piper, Jemma Redgrave, John Hurt and Joanna Page are among the reported stars.
