Moonface (aka Spencer Krug of Wolf Parade, Sunset Rubdown, and Swan Lake) has released a strange exercise video for “I’m Not the Phoenix Yet.” It’s as if Olivia Newton John’s “Physical” video was all shot in extreme close up. Watch the body parts of the video’s heroine as she does push-ups, sit-ups, spars with boxing gloves, or whatever else she’s up to, in short jeans shorts (because that’s what most girls wear when they exercise, right?). The video was directed by Throneboogie and shot with a VHS camera.

The song is taken from Moonface’s perhaps under-heard album with Siinai, Heartbreaking Bravery, released by Jagjaguwar earlier this year. Starting tomorrow, the band is also embarking on a U.S. tour, with Siinai as support and Foxygen opening some dates. Those dates, along with the video, are below.
