Watch: Julianna Barwick - “One Half” Video
Taken From New Album Nepenthe, Out Aug. 20
Aug 08, 2013
Julianna Barwick
Julianna Barwick‘s voice-based minimalism is the perfect soundtrack to ethereal, dreamy visuals, and that connection is employed to grand effect in the new video for “One Half,” which appears on Barwick’s upcoming album. Taking place in an abandoned parking garage, and then a lush forest (complete with a colorful cake just waiting for Barwick to come along and dismantle), the video was directed by Zia Anger.
Barwick’s new album, Nepenthe, is her second full-length, following 2011’s The Magic Place. It will be released Aug. 20 via Dead Oceans.
