The new video for M. Ward’s “Me and My Shadow” features a Justin Bieber-esque teen pop star who is controlled by his evil manager who shoots lasers out of her eyes. Laser eyes we tell you! Also, a certain tall, redheaded late night talk show host (aka Conan O’Brien) has a cameo. The video fittingly premiered on the Team Coco website.
It’s surprising that Ward didn’t save a Conan appearance for a video for “Watch the Show,” as the lyrics are about a disgruntled employee at a late night talk show (though perhaps there’s no plans to release that one as a single). Both songs are taken from Ward’s current album, A Wasteland Companion, released back in April on Merge. Watch below.
