Nirvana
Over the weekend HBO aired the full 2014 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, honoring in the likes of Hall & Oates, Kiss, Peter Gabriel, Cat Sevens, Linda Ronstadt, and the E Street Band. The highlight of the evening however, was of course the inclusion of Nirvana into the hall, which saw surviving members Dave Grohl and Krist Novoselic perform their band’s classic tunes for the first time since frontman Kurt Cobain’s death, bringing in female vocalists such as Joan Jett, Lorde, Kim Gordon, and St. Vincent’s Annie Clark for a bit of help. For those who don’t subscribe to HBO—or simply don’t have anyone’s HBOGo username and password to borrow—the full portion of Nirvana’s tribute has been uploaded online.
