Okkervil River released a new album, Away, last month via ATO. Previously the band had shared the album’s first single, “Okkervil River R.I.P.,” as well as its video. That was followed by a video for “The Industry,” a song that seemed to commenting on the declining state of the music industry, and a NSFW video for “Judey on a Street.” Now the band has shared a video for “Call Yourself Renee.” Bret Curry directed the video, which was filmed during a recent U.S. tour by the band and features two fictional Okkervil River fans, a man and a woman, at one of the band’s concerts. You see the lives of the two fans outside of the concert, as well as them at the show and footage of the band performing the song live. Watch below, followed by the band’s upcoming tour dates.

Curry had this to say about the video in a press release: “I wanted to make a video that captured the spirit of the individuals in the song’s lyrics without being too literal. Viewers can draw their own conclusions on what connects these two characters and what sort of past or future they have together. I really love this song and am grateful to Will for letting me take a swing at its visual interpretation.”
