Back in late June Weezer released a brand new patriotic song, “I Love the USA,” just in time for Independence Day. The song was commissioned by NASA and Apple Music in honor of the Juno unmanned spacecraft, a probe sent several years ago to study Jupiter that entered the planet’s orbit in July. The song is also features on the deluxe edition of the band’s latest album, Weezer (aka The White Album). Now a video for the song has been released. It features comedian Patton Oswalt dressed in American flag pants and a stars and stripes baseball hat. He sneaks into the Oval Office and lip-syncs the song, as well as shredding a guitar on the desk. Frontman Rivers Cuomo plays a secret service agent. The video was released yesterday seems timed to last night’s Presidential Debate (there’s a little dig at Donald Trump at the end). Watch it below.
