Watch: Paul McCartney and Surviving Members of Nirvana Play New Song “Cut Me Some Slack” on “SNL”
Also Listen to Studio Version
Dec 17, 2012 Paul McCartney
Last week Paul McCartney and the surviving members of Nirvana made a powerfully unexpected statement during the 12-12-12 Hurricane Sandy relief concert at Madison Square Garden, performing a brand new track called “Cut Me Some Slack.” Over the weekend, appearing as the musical guest for the year-end episode of Saturday Night Live, McCartney reconvened with Dave Grohl and Krist Novoselic to perform the track again during the broadcast. Slated to show up on the soundtrack of Grohl’s upcoming documentary Sound City (telling the history of the famed L.A. recording spot), a studio version of the song has become free to stream online and is available to purchase on iTunes.
