Phoebe Bridgers
Los Angeles singer/songwriter Phoebe Bridgers released her debut album, Stranger in the Alps, back in September 2017 via Dead Oceans. Now, a year later, she has stopped by Conan to make her late night TV debut and perform the album’s “Motion Sickness.” Bridgers performed with her suit-clad backing band and host Conan O’Brien seemed impressed. Watch the performance below, followed by Bridgers’ upcoming tour dates.
Stranger in the Alps is also getting a deluxe edition digital reissue on October 2 via Dead Oceans. It includes two bonus tracks, a demo version of “Motion Sickness” and a cover of Tom Petty’s “It’ll All Work Out.” She recently shared a video for “Scott Street.”
Bridgers has also teamed up with fellow singer/songwriters Julien Baker and Lucy Dacus to form supergroup Boygenius, whose self-titled debut EP is due out November 9 via Matador. When the EP was announced they shared three of its six tracks: “Bite the Hand,” “Me & My Dog,” and “Stay Down.” All three made our Songs of the Week list, but our #1 was “Me & My Dog,” which is led by Bridgers.
