Yesterday Phoenix pulled double-duty for the Late Show with David Letterman promoting their newly released album Banktrupt! Before taking to the Ed Sullivan Theater to perform “Trying to Be Cool” for the night’s television audience members Thomas Mars, Christian Mazzalai, Laurent Brancowitz, and Deck d’Arcy participated in the latest edition of Dave’s “Live on Letterman” web series, playing a 45-minute set of tunes at the Hudson Theater that included established favorites such as “1901” and “Lisztomania” in addition to new tracks such as “Entertainment,” Chloroform,” and “Don’t.” Click below to watch both sets of performances, as well as an interview with all four members.
