Promoting the upcoming release of their fifth studio album Bankrupt! French rock foursome Phoenix recently stopped by the Canadian Broadcast Channel’s QTV where they performed a pared-down rendition of their lead single “Entertainment.” The stripped-back affair is just one of several alternate takes of the tracks making the rounds of late, among them the unique remix/covers by Dinosaur Jr. and Blood Orange.
In addition to the video, Phoenix have announced plans for a special performance in New York City on May 13 at the Apollo Theater. Seats will be offered through a special lottery with the winners selected at random and sent an invitation to purchase tickets on March 29. Blood Orange will open the show.
Bankrupt!, due out April 23 via Glassnote. The new issue of Under the Radar, featuring Phoenix on the cover, is out now.
