Rest assured that the title of Pussy Riot’s video “Putin Will Teach You How to Love” should be read in sarcasm quotes. The clip features images of the Russian collective’s recent “Pussy Riot Action” at the Sochi Olympics where members where attacked by Cossacks. Nauseating but necessary watching. (Interestingly enough: The governor of the Krasnodar region apparently offered an apology for the attack.)
The song is, in part, about offering support to Russian political prisoners. You can check out the translated lyrics here.
