Last month soul singer Sharon Jones made a very public comeback to the live stage since her battle with cancer by performing on a float during Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. While riding down the streets of New York City Jones and her band The Dap Kings performed “Ain’t No Chimneys In The Projects,” off the group’s 2011 album Soul Time! Just in time for the holidays, Jones has premiered a Christmas-themed music video for the track. Directed by Ryan Louie, the animated visual a young girl as she attempted to make her building’s rooftop look a little more festive. Click below to watch.

With their new album Give the People What They Want scheduled for release on Jan. 14, Jones and The Dap Kings are also giving fans the opportunity to hear a brand new track, “People Don’t Get What They Deserve.” To listen to the song the band is asking for people to post photos and/or videos of the band via Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter using the hashtag #WeWantSharon. Once #WeWantSharon achieves 1,000 shares, the song will be unlocked on the band’s official website. As an added bonus, the person who shares the hashtag the most will receive a phone call from Jones herself.
