Watch: Sigur Rós – “Dauðalogn” Video
People's Choice Winner
Oct 09, 2012
Sigur Rós
For their “Mystery Film Experiment,” Sigur Rós approached a dozen filmmakers to create whatever visual accompaniment they wanted after listening to the band’s new album Valtari. In addition to these hand-selected contributors, the Icelandic ensemble opened the floor for anyone willing to make their own interpretative work, with the band picking their personal favorite and awarding the winner with a $5,000 prize. Before Sigur Rós announce their selection later this week, they have unveiled the winner of the people’s choice vote, chosen by popular vote on the competition site. Directed by Ruslan Fedotow, it’s atmospheric story follows a man he carries his friend through a misty forest and watches over him on a hospital bed. According to the band, “it hadn’t been our intention to feature the people’s choice in the pantheon of mystery film experiment on the site, but it is beyond doubt that this film is more than worthy of inclusion.” Click below to watch.
