As Part of La Blogothèque "Empty Space" Series

For those that don’t know the city of Paris sits on top of an entire network of ancient tunnels and mines, a portion of which includes its famed catacombs, holding the skeletal remains of some six million people. Taking part in La Blogothèque‘s new “Empty Space” video series, Sigur Rós made a journey into the subterranean space where they performed “Hrafntinna” from their latest LP Kveikur. With the band accompanied by their own mini-orchestra, the cave’s natural acoustics certainly added something to the song’s playthrough. Click below to watch the performance.
