Over the weekend riot grrrl veterans Sleater-Kinney reunited live onstage. The trio’s first appearance together since 2006, Corin Tucker, Carrie Brownstein, and Janet Weiss were welcomed as the guests of Eddie Vedder and Pearl Jam, joining in for a cover of Neil Young’s “Rockin’ in the Free World.”
With 2014 marking the 20th anniversary of the band’s formation, one can only hope that the group’s gathering is a merely a prelude to full-on reunion. Click below to watch fan footage of the performance.
