On The Tonight Show's "How I Wrote That Song"

Earlier this week St. Vincent appeared on The Tonight Show where she delivered her brand new single, “Teenage Talk.” On occasion, the late night program will pull its musical guests aside for an online segment called “How I Wrote That Song.” Happily obliging Miss Annie Clark revealed how she first conceived of the song while playing four-handed piano with a friend of hers, and based the lyrics around the experiences she had with her high school girlfriends and the outsider clique they inhabited living in the suburbs of Dallas.
