When she isn’t performing on Saturday Night Live comedian and actress Vanessa Bayer stars as Janessa Slater, the worst media consultant to ever work the industry in Above Average‘s ongoing web series “Sound Advice.” Having already given terrible recommendations to Tegan and Sara, TV on the Radio, fun., Interpol, and HAIM, Slater’s latest victim is none other than Annie Clark, a.k.a. St. Vincent. Among some of Slater’s brilliant ideas to boost Clark’s awareness is to get caught shoplifting (“Maybe you were caught at a drug store, and you stole a beer because technically it said two-for-one, but that promotion had ended but you didn’t realize it.”) or trashing a hotel room and not tipping the maid.
