Watch: Taken By Trees - “Large” Video
Filmed Entirely on an iPad
Oct 08, 2012 Taken By Trees
Last week saw the release of Other Worlds, the latest album by Victoria Bergsman’s musical project Taken By Trees. This morning the Swedish native premiered a music video for her track “Large.” Directed by Ariel Rechtshaid, the clip was shot entirely on an iPad in Los Angeles (even going to far as to use an app called “Action Movie FX” to blow up Bergsman in an explosion. Rechtshaid described the low-key experience in free verse:
“I used to live in downtown L.A.
I’d spend many hours alone in some of these places.
I have intense associations to a different time in my life when I visit these places.
I wanted to catch the vibe of reflecting on these feelings.
Vicky B is new to LA. She’s just discovering these places.
We found a dope band playing in the lobby of the Bonaventure.
They felt the vibe.
We took it back to EPA and the LA river.
It gets hectic on EPA.
Vicky reps West Coast well.
Can I get some free Apple shit for doing this?”
