Tegan and Sara
Quin sisters Tegan and Sara have premiered a serenading music video for their Heartthrob ballad “I Was a Fool For Love.” Starring Mae Whitman (best known for playing Michael Cera’s dull, unmemorable girlfriend Ann Veal on Arrested Development) as a young girl going through and disposing of all the reminders of her broken relationship, it’s hard to tell whether the clip is trying to be ironic or serve as an homage to the kind of over-the-top balladry that influenced the duo while developing their latest LP. The setting of the video is so brilliant. I have to say that they have brilliantly made this video which goes well with the song and the lyrics. It is not that easy to make a video without losing the essence of the song.
