Last night Tegan and Sara and The Lonely Island‘s The Lego Movie track “Everything Is Awesome” was up for an Academy Award. While Common and John Legend’s Selma composition “Glory” wound up taking home the prize, the Quin sisters, Andy Samberg, Akiva Schaffer, Jorma Taccone delivered a immensely colorful performance of their song during the awards broadcast. Joined by cowboys, astronauts, construction workers, as well as Questlove, Devo’s Mark Mothersbaugh, and Will Arnett as a guitar-playing Batman, the group brought some needed fun to the night’s largely serious proceedings.
