Shaking the Habitual: Live At Terminal 5 Due Out in Select Countries Today via Rabid Records
Sep 01, 2017 The Knife
Swedish duo The Knife are releasing a new live album and concert film, Shaking the Habitual: Live At Terminal 5, today via Rabid Records. As we previously reported, it won’t be available in USA/Canada, U.K./Eire, Asia, and South/Latin America due to a dispute with a label in those territories, Brille Records. But the film is available to stream worldwide via YouTube and you can watch it below.
2013’s Shaking the Habitual was the band’s final album, before disbanding in 2014. Live At Terminal 5 chronicles The Knife’s final performances in New York, which saw them expanding their live show with an 11-person dance troupe. There is a limited edition photo book that features the work of photographer Alexa Vachon, who chronicled the performances. Also, Bella Rune created bespoke instruments for the shows and they are being auctioned for the No One Is Illegal Network (whose manifesto is: “We demand permanent right of residence for all people who have arrived in Sweden and wish to remain. We believe in a world without borders, a world where no one is illegal.”).
