The Lemon Twigs are a promising new brother duo (Brian and Michael D’Addario) from Long Island. Last October they released their debut album, Do Hollywood, on 4AD. The album was recorded in Los Angeles (hence its title) and was produced by Foxygen’s Jonathan Rado and partly mirrors Foxygen’s glorious retro ‘70s rock vibe. Last night the duo stopped by The Late Show with Stephen Colbert to perform “I Wanna Prove to You.” They were backed by a string quartet and the horn section from Colbert’s house band Jon Bastiste & Stay Human. Watch the spirited performance below. Also don’t forget to watch the recent hilarious video for “I Wanna Prove to You,” surely one of the year’s best music videos thus far.
