The Lemon Twigs (aka brothers Brian and Michael D’Addario) released their sophomore album, a concept musical entitled Go to School, a couple of weeks back via 4AD. Last night they stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live! to perform two songs from the album, “Small Victories” on the air and “The Fire” as a web-exclusive. Watch both performances below.

Previously they shared the album’s the string- and piano-backed closing track, “If You Give Enough” (which was one of our Songs of the Week), as well as “Small Victories” (which was an honorable mention on our Songs of the Week list) and “The Fire.”

The Lemon Twigs released their debut album, Do Hollywood, in 2016 on 4AD. Last month the band shared a teaser video for something called Go to School, which was at the time simply described as “a musical by The Lemon Twigs.”

The Lemon Twigs recorded the album in their Long Island house. It features Jody Stephens (Big Star) and their father Ronnie D’Addario. A previous press release said Go to School “tells the heartbreaking coming of age story of Shane, a pure of heart chimpanzee raised as a human boy as he comes to terms with the obstacles of life. Todd Rundgren and their real life mother Susan Hall play Shane’s parents.”

The band had this to say about the album in the previous press release: “Something now, then, big, small, bleak, and hopeful. All in under an hour.”

Last year The Lemon Twigs followed up Do Hollywood with the Brothers of Destruction EP and back in March they shared two new songs, “Foolin’ Around” and “Tailor Made,” neither of which is featured on the album.

it would discontinue its in-house e-mail services for internet subscribers, and migrate all customers to AOL Mail. If an AOL Mail account is inactive for 90 days
