Do Hollywood Due Out October 14 via 4AD

The Lemon Twigs
The Lemon Twigs are a promising new brother duo from Long Island. On October 14th they release their debut album, Do Hollywood, on 4AD. The album was recorded in Los Angeles (hence its title) and was produced by Foxygen’s Jonathan Rado and partly mirrors Foxygen’s glorious retro ‘70s rock vibe. Last night they made their network television debut on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and they indeed looked and sounded like something from the Richard Nixon/Gerald Ford eras. But they also pulled off a strong performance. Questlove of The Roots (who are The Tonight Show‘s house band) was already a fan prior to their performance and tweeted his excitement earlier in the evening. See his tweet below, followed by video of his performance.
