Watch the New Trailer for “Valerian” (Plus Recent Trailers for “Justice League” and “Spider-Man”)

Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets Due Out July 21 and Stars Cara Delevinge, Dane DeHaan, Rihanna, Clive Owen, and Ethan Hawke

Mar 29, 2017 Ben Affleck

Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets is the new epic looking sci-fi film from French filmmaker Luc Besson (The Fifth Element, Leon: The Professional, Lucy) that’s due out July 21. It’s based on the French comic book Valérian and Laureline (which ran from 1967 to 2010). The film stars Cara Delevinge (Suicide Squad) as Laureline and Dane DeHaan (Chronicle) as Valerian and costars Rihanna, Clive Owen, John Goodman, Herbie Hancock, Rutger Hauer, and Ethan Hawke. Last November we posted the film’s first trailer and today the second trailer was released. Watch it below.

There are two other big comic book movies that also recently shared trailers. The new trailer Justice League was released over the weekend and yesterday the new trailer for Spider-Man: Homecoming was shared. Watch them both below too.

The highly anticipated DC Comics adaptation Justice League brings together DC’s biggest heroes and stars Ben Affleck (Batman) Gal Gadot (Wonder Woman), Ray Fisher (Cyborg), Ezra Miller (The Flash), and Jason Momoa (Aquaman). Not seen in the trailer is Henry Cavill (Superman), perhaps to maintain the mystery of his appearance after what happened to him at the end of Batman V Superman. Zack Snyder (Watchmen, Man of Steel, Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice) directs. The film is due out on November 17, 2017 via Warner Bros. Last July we posted the movie’s first teaser trailer, from Comic-Con.

Tom Holland made his debut as a teenaged Peter Parker/Spider-Man in last year’s Captain America: Civil War and on July 7 he gets his own movie, Spider-Man: Homecoming. Robert Downey Jr.‘s Tony Stark/Iron Man also appears in the film, that’s been directed by Jon Watts and features Marisa Tomei as Aunt May and Michael Keaton as the villain the Vulture. Back in December we posted the film’s first trailer.
