The Shins released a new album, Heartworms, last month via Aural Apothecary/Columbia. The band has already shared four songs from the album: “Dead Alive,” “Name For You,” “Mildenhall,” and “Painting a Hole,” as well as two separate videos for two separate versions of “Name For You.” Last night they stopped by Jimmy Kimmel Live to perform Heartworms tracks “Half a Million” and “The Fear.” Watch videos of both below, followed by the band’s upcoming tour dates.
Heartworms is the follow-up to 2012’s Port of Morrow. As usual, it was all written by Mercer, but this is the first Shins album since 2001’s Oh, Inverted World that Mercer has also self-produced (with the exception of “So Now What,” which was produced by Richard Swift).
