Below is the third trailer for Star Trek Beyond, the third movie in the rebooted Star Trek series. Whereas last December’s first trailer for the film featured Beastie Boys’ “Sabotage,” which rubbed some Trekkies the wrong way, this one features a brand new song from Rihanna, “Sledgehammer” (no it’s not a Peter Gabriel cover). The song was written by Sia and is featured on the soundtrack and presumably in the movie (probably during the end credits if we were betting on it). Below watch the new trailer and check out the Spotify stream of the song.

Star Trek Beyond was directed by Justin Lin (a veteran of the Fast and Furious franchise) and co-written by Simon Pegg (who plays Scotty and also co-wrote Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, and The World’s End). Here’s hoping there’s still some actual science fiction to go with all that action and that it’s also not too much of a retread of a previous Star Trek movie the way Star Trek Into Darkness made too many references to Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan. In this one it looks like the Enterprise gets destroyed and the crew gets trapped on a hostile alien planet.

J.J. Abrams directed the last two Star Trek movies, but was too busy relaunching Star Wars (directing last year’s box office record breaker The Force Awakens). He does produce Beyond. Chris Pine, Zachary Quinto, Zoe Saldana, Karl Urban, Simon Pegg, Anton Yelchin, and John Cho all return, with Idris Elba joining the cast as the villain. The movie is due out July 22 and this year is the 50th anniversary of Star Trek. There’s also a new Star Trek TV series in the works for 2017.
