Later this year acclaimed director Paul Thomas Anderson, the man behind Boogie Nights, Magnolia, and There Will Be Blood, will release his brand new film Inherent Vice. Based on the novel by Thomas Pynchon the ‘late ‘60s crime noir stars Joaquin Phoenix as Doc Sportello as he delves into an investigation full of surfers, hustlers, dopers, and LAPD detectives. Additionally starring Benicio Del Toro, Owen Wilson, Reese Witherspoon, Josh Brolin, Martin Short, and Jena Malone, the film also features musical artist Joanna Newsom, who just so happens to provide the story’s narration.
