Twin Shadow
Last night, as promised, Twin Shadow debuted the music video for his propulsive and synthy new single “Five Seconds” on the big screens of New York City’s Times Square. Said video, directed by Keith Musil, is now available in its more online-friendly form, depicting George Lewis Jr. as he performs some rather impressive motorcycle stunts and battles a bunch of crazed, post-apocalyptic mauraders to save a friend. Conceptualized by Lewis himself, the video is the first part in a series based on a novel written by Lewis and his friend Eric Green called Night of the Silver Sun. In a press release statement Lewis says, “My mom is gonna be super bummed out, but yes that’s me surfing my motorcycle in the video for ‘5 Seconds’ ... and yes I’m also on the wrong side of the road. I figured if I was ever going to get away with being on a jackass on a motorcycle it would be for my own music video.”
