Watch: Unknown Mortal Orchestra - “First World Problem” Video
Multi-Love Out Now via Jagjaguwar

Back in May Unknown Mortal Orchestra shared a brand new song, “First World Problem,” the New Zealand band’s first new song since their excellent 2015 album Multi-Love (out now via Jagjaguwar). Now the funky cut has a video, which features a couple doing a dance routine, jumping between two locations, indoor and the desert. The video was directed by James Lees and choreographed by Kianí Del Valle. Del Valle, a Berlin-based choreographer, had this to say about the video to Nowness (who premiered it): “I aimed to create a dialogue between two art forms - film and music. I wanted the video to be a response to the band’s lyrics and musical melodies, rather than showing literally what the song is saying. I am a big fan of silent films and how unspoken language can add a second layer to speech.” Watch it below.
