Multi-Love Out Now via Jagjaguwar
Nov 12, 2015 Unknown Mortal Orchestra
Unknown Mortal Orchestra has shared a video for “Necessary Evil,” a song that can be found on the New Zealand band’s excellent recent album Multi-Love (out now via Jagjaguwar). Sean Solomon illustrated and directed colorful animated video, which features two lovers coming together and breaking apart.
Solomon had this to say about the clip in a press release: “The video is an abstract love story about two characters whose insecurities and paranoia eventually drive them apart. I tried to show both character’s perspectives using elements from the lyrics. I had a team of amazing animators and friends.”
The video will also air on Adult Swim during their “Toonami” block on Saturday, November 21 and it premiered on Adult Swim’s website.
Watch it below, followed by the band’s upcoming tour dates. Also read our recent interview with Unknown Mortal Orchestra about Multi-Love and read our review of the album.
