Watch: Vampire Weekend and Steve Buscemi Try To Get the Word Out For Their Upcoming Concert Webcast
The Art of Self-Promotion
Apr 22, 2013
Vampire Weekend
As you might have heard by now, Vampire Weekend will be performing at New York City’s Roseland Ballroom April 28 and will live stream the show as part of the American Express Unstaged series. Serving as the concert’s director is actor Steve Buscemi, who as evident from a new promo video, has apparently been doing his best to get the word out with little help from the band. Featuring a guest appearance by New York Public Advocate and mayoral candidate Bill de Blasio (a self-professed Vampire Weekend fan), Buscemi does his best to teach the boys the importance of self-promotion.
Click below to watch the fun, with Buscemi even trying to strike a deal for the band to write the official song for New York City in exchange for some votes. Modern Vampires of the City is scheduled to come out May 14 on XL.
