Coinciding with the release of their new album Ultramarine today, Montreal pop group Young Galaxy has premiered a music video for their lead single “Pretty Boy.” Directed by Luke McCutcheon the clip follows a very unusual couple, one that prefers to live their lives behind the expressionless guise of two latex masks. While the whole visual endeavor could have really been turned into a rather creepastic viewing experience, thanks to the tropic, percolating synths and beats of the song, there’s actually a level of sweetness to the story. Boi oh Boi this piece of lovely would have been a smash hit on the gay dancefloors circa 1980-81. Slick lezzies would have loved it too. Carry on with the beauty.
