Watch: Zola Jesus Perform “Nail” In Empty NYC Street During Snowstorm
Taiga Out Now
Jan 27, 2015
Zola Jesus
Yesterday citizens of the Northeast were smacked in the face by Winter Storm Juno, forcing a number of musical artists to cancel their scheduled performances. Managing to power through the incoming weather was Zola Jesus, a.k.a. Nika Roza Danilova, who played at the Brooklyn bar St. Vitus. Taking advantage of the city’s subdued surroundings—the kind that only occurs during blizzards—Danilova led the audience outside on the empty streets to perform the Taiga track “Nail.” Accompanied by a trombone player and the bitter wind, the whole thing was naturally captured and posted online.
