Willis Earl Beal Announces New Album, “Noctunes,” Shares “Flying So Low”
LP Out Aug. 28

Willis Earl Beal
Willis Earl Beal has announced that he will release a brand new album titled Noctunes later this summer. The follow-up to last year’s Experiments in Time, the new record is deliberately minimal. People had all these ideas about what I was supposed to be,” he says in a statement. “I had only ever wanted to make lullabies. ... I wanted to create this persona that could say everything perfectly with very little. The record, to me, is a perfect record. I listen to that thing a lot, and it helps me.”
Ahead of the LP’s arrival Beal has shared the included track, “Flying So Low.” Scroll down to listen, as well as view the record’s full tracklist. Noctunes arrives Aug. 28 via Tender Loving Empire. Click here to revisit our extensive and revealing interview with Beal from last year.
