Mar 08, 2013 SXSW Parties 2013 By Laura Studarus

On March 14 Under the Radar will host the second of three free day parties. Leading up to the event we’re letting you know about each artist playing. Today we’re spotlighting Young Galaxy. In a previous post we gave you the basic party details of the party: The party happens from 12:00-6:00 PM at the Flamingo Cantina at 6th and Red River (515 E. 6th Street, Austin, TX 78701). All events are free and open to the public—no RSVPs or badges are required. Come early for free beer courtesy of Sapporo. SHURE and MailChimp are also sponsoring the event.

A mix of bubbly Balearic beats and melancholy melodies, Young Galaxy’s fourth album Ultramarine(due out April 23 via Paper Bag) is the ultimate in bittersweet pop. Check out a couple of tracks from their new album below. You can also revisit the mixtape the band made for us here. Young Galaxy will perform on March 13 at 12:45 pm.
