Yumi Zouma Announce New EP, Share New Song “In Camera”

New Zealand indie-pop band Yumi Zouma released their sophomore album, Willowbank, last year via Cascine (it was one of our Top 100 Albums of 2017). Now they have announced a new EP, EP III, and shared a new song from it, “In Camera.” As its title suggests, EP III is the third and final part of a trilogy of EPs that started in 2014 and is due out September 28 via Cascine. The band issued this press release statement about the EP: “There is something really special about the EP format. It’s been so long since we worked on one that we all had forgotten how fun and liberating they can be. This EP, both in its material and how it was written and recorded, feels really close to EP I and II. Spread again between three countries, bouncing endless revisions of a song until it’s right, falling asleep on FaceTime trying to write lyrics together and the exhilaration of waking up to NEW SONG VERSION 5 - it threw us back to how we worked on material when we thought no one would ever listen. We’ve completed our EP family. It’s the little sibling none of us had growing up and none of us knew we could love so much.”
Back in April the band shared another new song, “France (Grand Boulevards),” from Dreams, a compilation that’s been put together by the New York-based website Stadium & Shrines that came out in June via Cascine.

Your software proposal should answer a question or address a concern that is top of your customer’s mind. Otherwise, it will just gather dust on their “things I should read when I have time” pile (we all have them, don’t we?). Pick a pain point (if possible, put it in your customer’s own words) and specifically address how your software or service will solve their problem. Tie it into your value proposition below. Come back to the pain point when you close with tangible ROI and metrics/benefits at the end.

What is the biggest benefit of your software or service to this customer? What is your main advantage against your competition? That is your value proposition. Keep it simple, and make sure it is prominent in the executive summary of your proposal (your proposal does include an executive summary, right?). If you can quantify it (e.g., with some ROI messaging), then do so. The more hard benefits you can articulate at the beginning of the proposal, the more likely your customer will keep reading.

Just over a year after releasing their lauded debut LP, Yoncalla, Yumi Zouma return with Willowbank, the band’s sophomore album.
For the making of Willowbank, Yumi Zouma’s members — Charlie Ryder, Josh Burgess, Christie Simpson and Sam Perry — settled on a plan to reunite for the New Zealand summer. To complete what would become their first significant work written and recorded entirely in their home country, they rented a studio in Christchurch’s semi-demolished CBD, on one of the few remaining blocks that still characterizes the city from before it was destroyed by a series of earthquakes. “It was as though there was a brief pause in all of our lives and we finally felt like a band from New Zealand,” said Burgess. “We were on home turf and creating from a place that felt fundamentally natural.”
