Contributes to "Winnie the Pooh" Soundtrack

Zooey Deschanel
Sure to cause a bit of sweetness overload, Zooey Deschanel will be lending her own honeyed vocals to the soundtrack of Disney’s forthcoming Winnie the Pooh movie. Aside from singing alongside Jim Cumming (the voice of Winnie the Pooh and Tigger) and other cast members for songs such “Everything is Honey” and “Pooh’s Finale,” Ms. Gibbard is set to include her own take on the classic “Winnie the Pooh” theme song, and her own tracks “A Very Important Thing to Do” and “So Long” (the last of which she wrote with She & Him collaborator M. Ward). You can check out a preview of the “So Long” below. The soundtrack for Winnie the Pooh is scheduled for release on July 12 via Walt Disney Records, with the film reaching theaters on July 15.
