Taking a look at the inside of S.T.A.R. Labs from an intern’s perspective is pretty cool. The intern in question, Reiser, is a fairly compelling protagonist who has an interesting supporting cast around him: an aunt, a fellow S.T.A.R. grunt, and more. Being comics, it’s not much of a surprise that a lab accident seems to transform Reiser into…something. A sort of dumb and generic-looking monster something. Accoding to the promo text on DC’s site, the monster is actually Doomsday, though he doesn’t look like the behemoth that killed Superman in the ‘90s. Regardless, this sort of generic transformation is our only real misgiving. This could be a really fun series, with nice art and an almost Spider-Man vibe out of the gate. (www.dccomics.com)
