This week the Zune L.A. gallery/performance space is hosting the Mewseum, an exhibition of Mew’s music videos, including three filmed for their lengthily titled new album, No more stories/Are told today/I’m sorry/They washed away/No more stories/The world is grey/I’m tired/Let’s wash away. The three videos are directed by Martin De Thurah and also displayed are photos from the videos. Mew performed a short set Monday night at Zune L.A. to a grouping of fans and industry folk. Before the Danish trio took the stage, the three No more stories videos were shown. The video for “Introducing Palace Players” is all Kubrick-esque and features strange monolith-like black cubes floating through a forest. The videos for both “Repeaterbeater” and “Beach” were then premiered. In the “Repeaterbeater” clip the band are all hypnotized by a creepy old man dressed in a white coat and brandishing a cane.
“Okay, we’ll play a few songs. We haven’t rehearsed it that much,” said guitarist Bo Madsen as Mew took the stage. And a few was all they played, only working their way through four songs, including “Symmetry.” There were no drums to be found, but also no acoustic guitars, so we’ll call this set stripped down, rather than acoustic. At one point vocalist Jonas Bjerre, who spent most of the set at the keyboard, said something in Danish to the guy at the soundboard, including a word that sounded like “Soma.” “What?” yelled an audience member. To which Madsen joked, “Soma means ‘you guys look handsome’ in Danish and it’s also the name of the monitor guy over there.” Madsen, who had sunglasses dangling from his neck and was sporting a pair of old Converse on the verge of splitting apart, took awhile to tune his guitar before Mew’s last song. “This was like when we first started playing together, we’d spend a lot of time tuning our guitars,” said Madsen. The band ended their short set without an encore, but they did stick around to greet fans in the gallery space upstairs.

Hi,
I have less than one gigabyte of memory on my computer whereas I have 80 on my zune. For this reason, I download my music straight from the zune marketplace to my zune. Whenever I plug my zune into my computer, It automatically transfers all the songs I downloaded on my zune into my collection on my computer. How do I stop this?
