Robot Chicken: Star Wars Episode II

Seth Green has carved out an interesting niche for himself with his stop-motion animated series Robot Chicken. Combining his love for all things geek with his TV experience, he’s able to play with his toys and make a living out of it. And when we talk about geeky things, Star Wars is usually at the top of the list. The first Robot Chicken: Star Wars was a success, but unlike The Empire Strikes Back, this sequel doesn’t improve on the original. Episode II does have Carrie Fisher doing Princess Leia’s voice and Billy Dee Williams working Lando, but why couldn’t they get Mark Hamill to do Luke?

The best scene involves Luke’s Aunt Beru and Uncle Owen before they get blasted by Stormtroopers, but the others only pale in comparison. Extras are plentiful, with six commentaries and several making-ofs and featurettes, one of which features George Lucas playfully pranking one of the creators of the show.
