Writer/director Martin Hynes (who played George Lucas in George Lucas in Love) takes on directionless youth in The Go-Getter. There’s not much here to separate this film from other, better road movies—a genre that has been covered several times over. As it stands, the film stars Lou Taylor Pucci (the king of this genre, as he was in Thumbsucker and The Chumscrubber) as a young man who escapes his hometown of Eugene, Oregon in a stolen car belonging to costar Zooey Deschanel. She places forgiving calls to the stranger who stole her car and pines while he whoops it up in Reno with Jena Malone and even runs into Judy Greer, Maura Tierney, and Predator’s Bill Duke. Fans of recent Under the Radar cover stars She & Him may be interested that M. Ward (whose music is featured in the film) and Deschanel met while making the movie. The DVD includes commentary with Hynes, a making-of, and best of all, a game of 20 questions with some of the films’ costars. (www.thego-getter.com)

This sounds like a great video for under the Christmas tree.

When my hot water heater went out, I started looking for someone to replace it.  Houston Water Heaters was the first place I called and told them I was shopping.  Eight phone calls later, I was back with them.  The customer service and direct answers were what I was looking for and di7;1#82&dnt; get it with the other 7 phone calls.  Needless to say, I went back to Houston Water Heaters.  David and Ray came out and did an outstanding job.  My heater was surrounded by a/c vents and they did the job without disturbing or damaging anything.  Very impressed!
