The Green Man Festival has a reputation for being the U.K.‘s most picturesque music festival. Set on the Glanusk Park Estate in the Black Mountains of Wales’ Brecon Beacons and not far from the lovely olde-worlde village of Crickhowell, its family-friendly atmosphere and emphasis on being green make it a welcome far cry from the “lads & lager” atmosphere of other European festivals. This will be Under the Radar‘s first visit to Green Man, and fortunately the scenery isn’t the only thing to distract us from mud, rain, camping, and the horror of kids running around: there’s some pretty exciting music on too. The Green Man Festival has, in the 10 years since its inception, evolved from a one-day, 300-capacity campfire folk show into a week-long, eclectic event playing home to some 22,000 guests.
