Mark Lanegan and Duke Garwood are releasing a new collaborative album, With Animals, on August 24 via Heavenly. Previously they shared the album’s opening track, “Save Me,” as well as its title track, “With Animals” (which was one of our Songs of the Week). Now they have shared another song from the album, “Scarlett,” via a somewhat abstract black & white video directed by Sabrina Westmoreland. More

Hello again. We haven’t done a Songs of the Week for almost five weeks, since June 9. We were on vacation from mid to late June and then when we returned there really weren’t enough compelling songs last week to justify doing Songs of the Week lists, mainly because of the July 4th holiday being smack dab in the middle of the week and so labels mainly avoided sharing new songs.
