Spotlight chronicles The Boston Globe‘s 2002 Pulitzer Prize winning investigative journalism that exposed the Catholic Church’s sex abuse scandal, uncovering both that some priests had been abusing children for decades and that the church tried to cover it up. It stars Michael Keaton fresh off his acclaimed Oscar-nominated role in Birdman, along with Mark Ruffalo, Rachel McAdams, Liev Schreiber, Brian d’Arcy James, and John Slattery, all as Boston Globe reporters and editors.
