Yes, we are well aware that “Death Teeth” sounds not unlike the title of an unreleased Spinal Tap single. But OOFJ is no parody band. Their brand of cinematic darkness is harder to shake off. Take a listen to the duo’s first single below—which combines the melancholy of Portishead with a stunning 1950s noir soundtrack. Their full-length debut Disco to Die streets February 25.
Suburban Kids With Biblical Names mastermind Johan Hedberg has caught the holiday spirit. Check out his seasonally appropriate new song, “Some Kind of Christmas.” It’s filled to the brim with enough off-kilter holiday charm to make Charlie Brown blush. (Note to Johan: We’ll appreciate any tree you pick out!)

Pacal Pinon is the project of twin sisters Jófríður and Ásthildur. The Icelandic musicians’ sophomore album Twosomeness is an exploration of delicate textures, soaring harmonies, and gently strummed guitars.
